Creating A Powerful Five-Paragraph Literary Essay

The essay is a common literary tool used for many purposes in both the language arts and sciences. Essays can be used to provide information about a particular topic, provide instructions on how to accomplish a task, or simply tell a fantastical story of imagination and dreams. There are also many types of compositions within each grouping, for example, some require you to be descriptive, while some request facts and evidence to be presented in a sober manner. Here are 5 steps that should help anyone write a powerful five-paragraph essay:

  1. Opening statement
  2. The statements that outline the theme and subject pieces should be written within this initial phase of the paper; especially so when creating one for science type reports. When preparing a fictional essay, this part can contain less information than the science modeled papers. This paragraph can just contain a catchphrase or two and a starting point to the story.

  3. Presentation of data.
  4. When writing a paper based on one of the sciences, one can detail the apparatus, explain the methods used for each step within the process being documented and mention any unforeseen happenings throughout the duration of the process. Other details can be placed here for example, the number of persons involved, etc. However, within the fictional arena, one can continue building this stanza using powerful story elements and features to captivate the intended audience.

  5. Analysis of data.
  6. When the experiment or process has ended, the findings and other data that may not directly relate to the experiment should be written here. An analysis and the parameters regarding the interpretation of the findings should be written here also. At this stage in a fantasy based literary essay, most or all of the emotions and reactions that were building up from the start should begin to climax and increase the level of attention readers would have.

  7. Examples.
  8. In this section, discussions on any alternative methods or change in apparatus that was both considered and acted upon, should be stated here. These can include past experiments and theorized variations that the team responsible for researching the topic concluded, even the far-fetched ones. The multiple flavors of a fictional composition should be evident by the reader at this stage.

  9. Conclusion.
  10. Listing your research team members and sources of information should be placed here as well as any closing statements. Any summaries needed for any part of the essay should also be written here.
